What is concrete sealer?
Concrete sealer is a protective coating applied to concrete surfaces to safeguard them against damages. Not only does it enhance the durability and longevity of the concrete, but also improves its appearance by giving it a clean polished look.
Why should I get my concrete sealed?
When you seal concrete, it helps to prevent water, oil, and other substances from penetrating the surface, which can lead to stains, cracks, and other damages over time. A good sealant enhances the appearance of the concrete by giving it a glossy finish and bringing out the natural colors and textures. This is especially important to decorative concrete, as it ensures the unique designs remain vibrant and intact.
How often should I get my concrete sealed?
If you notice the surface looking dull, stained or showing signs of wear and tear, these are all indicators that resealing is needed. Typically, we recommend once a year.
Sealing Process
Step 1: Make sure concrete is properly cleaned and dry.
Step 2: Apply the sealer using a roller or sprayer to ensure an even coat.
Step 3: Allow sealer to cure. This typically takes around 48 hours.
Step 4: Admire the stunning transformation!
